In my heart,I was happy that God placed kind and good people in my path after all the hardships I had endured. I thanked God and then thanked Haj Asghar. We didn't have many belongings; we had sold most of them to pay off our debtsto the broker. Only a sofa, a dining table, and my mother's dishes. The things I wanted to take from home were my books, personal items, clothes, and family albums. It wouldn't exceed a single suitcase, except for the books. I needed help to take my books becauseI knew I could studythem again forthe university entrance exam. The sound of Mehrshad's footsteps snapped me out of my thoughts.
